SANTORINI BRACELET - ART DECO

Welcome to Jewelry by Dianne Sophia.

The Santorini Bracelet is fabulous! The art deco design was inspired by the black sand beaches of the island of Santorini in Greece.
This piece is composed of all that's old and new. The sparkling clasp was custom made from a vintage button by setting it in Sterling Silver. The round beads are vintage jet which I found at a tasteful condo sale in a neighboring north shore town. The woman's closet was filled with St. John knits; her shoes were high and modern, and her jewelry was simple and exquisite. These jet beads were in a simple knotted strand with no clasp at all. I paired them with large silvery crystal roundels for a classic elegant look. It's simple yet draws the eye.
This piece of jewelry may be all you need with that little black dress, or it could be the evening in your day to evening look. You know that look, the one where you wore the black pantsuit to work with white blouse and gold chain, then for dinner out that night, you lost the blouse and added a black camisole, strappy sandals and this bracelet. It's magic!

Her Heart On Her Sleeve: I live in a suburb north of Chicago, and I read, bead, make jewelry, sew, watch TV and movies, crochet, craft, decorate, go to house and garage sales, walk and go on beach walks, listen to music, take pictures, cook and bake, read, and write about all of it on herheartonhersleeve. I have a companion blog called Jewlery by Dianne Sophia at diannesophia.blogspot.com where I write exclusively about my jewelry.

Jewelry By Dianne Sophia: I have been collecting vintage jewelry since I was a girl growing up in Detroit, and have been designing and making jewelry for 15 years. I love to work with pearls and crystals, semi-precious stones, Sterling Silver and Gold, along with vintage beads and materials. I delight in combining shape, pattern and color in new ways. I'm inspired and influenced by my travels and experiences as a reader, writer, photographer and student of life. My blog herheartonhersleeve.blogspot.com chronicles my life in art and popular culture.
